Everyone has a unique story and journey with God--and this is a place where we can share that experience together. You're here on this site because you want to become someone and go somewhere with God. There's a connection for you in what you're hearing that resonates with who you are and the relationship that you dream of having with the Lord. And you're excited to discover the relationship He already sees with you.
We want to be connected with you as you're growing up into all things in Christ--and to be a contribution to that process.
For me, when I travel about or read through my mail, what encourages me the most is when people express the awe and wonder of who God really is and how they are discovering a relationship with Him that they didn't even know was possible. Those are the best stories of all and what I'm looking forward to hearing from you:
What truths specifically are transforming how you see, think and talk about Jesus?
How did you used to perceive and think... and how is it transforming?
What was the catalyst to that "ah-ha" moment?
And who are you now becoming because of it?
In what ways are you looking more like Jesus because of what you're learning and encountering here?
In over 40+ years of knowing Jesus, I've never lost the awe and wonder of who He is to me. He's been so kind, so relentless in His goodness, so faithful... it still overwhelms me. I remember who I used to be, the crime family I came from. I still go back and visit my hometown of Manchester in England and walk the streets I walked as a kid...and I'm so grateful to Jesus.
I'm not the same person I was - because of the outrageous grace and kindness of God. My own life is a journey and story with the Lord that is still unfolding. I'm still learning. We're all learning about how majestic God is and that Jesus is Big Country.
The reality is, I'm a one dimensional man living with a multi-dimensional God. My story is Ephesians 3:8 "To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,"
God came into my story and changed it. He put me on a different path. I'm continually encountering the God of Deuteronomy 31:6-8. He's the God that goes with us and the God that goes before us. That's living present future. I know God here and I know He's parked Himself ahead of me, usually next to a problem or obstruction or a battle, standing with the provision I need.
I am endlessly fascinated by the creativity and commitment of God to be Himself with us, to us and through us. That's glorious. It's majesty. It should evoke a sense of wonder! Sure, we're not who we will become, but thank God, we're not who we used to be. The glorious thing is: YOUR STORY CAN ALWAYS CHANGE. It's never too late. We're not to young to start or too old to finish well. God's ability to accelerate our process redeems the time - and my desire is that the teaching and training BTV holds can be a huge part of that.
I want to celebrate your story and journey as much as I celebrate my own. My desire is to see a conversation here in the forums and the episode comments that allows us to be encouraged and enlightened by the majesty and supremacy of God...of receiving the overwhelming love of God for us, of loving Him in return and loving everyone He bring into our lives - being utterly transformed so that when people encounter us, they can "taste and see" His goodness.
Thanks for joining me on this adventure. I look forward to hearing all that you discover... I truly do!
