Upgrading our spiritual lens and setting our minds on things above is not a one time experience, it’s continual. Outdated, old man habits default to worry and shame. We can’t process our New Man identity through the obsolete system of old covenant beliefs. Upgrading our identity requires that we not only see the Truth, but lay aside the old, outdated ways and walk in newness of life.
Follow Through Questions:
- What outdated perceptions of God and of yourself are you ready to let go of once and for all?
- Have you come into any new situations that require an upgraded identity in Christ?
- Make a list of some old mindsets about God or yourself that are ready for an upgrade.
- What does God have to say about each instead?
